Cheshire Home Summerstrand

Cheshire Home Summerstrand supports, and for 37 years, provided care and support for disabled people in Port Elizabeth. We are a Home for 55 chronically disabled adults. Our mission is to assist people with disabilities, regardless of their colour, race, or creed, by providing the conditions necessary for their physical, mental and spiritual well-being. The Home is multiracial and caters for both men and woman. Most of our residents are in wheelchairs and each occupies his/her own room. We strive to provide care, support and opportunity for each resident through the provision of independent living facilities, through the creation of leadership and skills development opportunity.
